Quality Counts When it Comes to SURVIVAL

Quality Counts When it Comes to SURVIVAL !

I have been testing 72 hour survival kits from various suppliers both online and off for consumer research in regards to our product line.
At a recent show where I was a vendor I overheard a customer state to his friend “That’s Expensive.! I bought a kit from !@$% and it was over $20.00 less !

Look I’m not wealthy and I really do appreciate good value and a good deal whenever I buy something. But SURVIVAL IS NOT SOMETHING YOU WANT TO SKIMP ON! YOUR LIFE AND POSSIBLY YOUR FAMILY’S SURVIVAL MAY DEPEND ON THE SURVIVAL PRODUCTS YOU PURCHASE!

After overhearing the above statement at the show I decided to go to !@$% online and buy a couple of 72 hr kits to evaluate. I ordered a Basic 72 hr 2 person Backpack Kit and a 72 Hr 2 person Duffel Bag Kit.
I must admit the online ordering process was easy and seemingly went well. Once my order arrived the trouble began. I ordered 3 items, the 2 kits and a survival seed bank. The seed bank was delivered quickly but the kits did not arrive and I had to spend a week with customer service to get things straight.

When the 2 kits that I ordered finally arrived a week later I was amazed. I opened the box and pulled out both kits and the more that I inspected the kit’s the more I realized that they were JUNK! The bags both the back pack and the duffel bag were cheaply manufactured and would not last long in a crisis situation where you would be using them daily, they might last the 72 hrs but I doubt they would last longer.

As I opened the Back Pack Kit I found out the contents and components were no better than the pack itself. Poorly thought out, cheaply made components that would perform poorly if at all. The water that was included in this kit were 2 plastic bottled waters that looked just like what you buy at the discount store. The 2 Poncho’s were so thin you would do better with a plastic garbage bag and the emergency tent was no more than an over-sized space blanket.

What really got to me was the so called pocket knife. It was a cheap plastic handled 2 ½ inch key chain knife. Hardly suitable for survival by any means.

The more I inspected the kits and their components, the madder I got.
I realized that probably a lot of people that did not know any better have been buying this junk thinking they were Preparing for a Crisis or Emergency. Wow what a let down.

When you buy Survival Kits or components make sure you check out the products thoroughly. Ask questions if you are not sure because your LIFE MIGHT DEPEND ON IT ! Quality Survival Gear Like Knives, Multi Tools, Fire Starters, Etc. may cost a little more but your life and survival is worth it.

Start your inspection with the quality of the back pack, duffel bag or other bag that the survival kit is packed into. Is it cheap ? Poorly made? Will it last under extreme use like a disaster ? The best Packs and Bags are the ones like the U.S. Military uses and that’s the quality of productsQuality Counts When it Comes to SURVIVAL !

I personally test all the products we offer for quality, durability and ease of use. We only use GSA suppliers on the majority of our products.
We take you and your family’s safety and survival seriously and you can believe that.

I will be doing another report on this topic going into much more detail about 72 hr kits and Bug Out bags. I hope you will check back next week for it. Your Life Might Just Depend On It Someday Soon !
